Choreographer: Csaba Varga

repetitive, constant, flourishing

From Helix to Vortex was created by a young, emerging Hungarian choreographer, Csaba Varga, who is a well known freelance dancer in Europe and works with the likes of  Anton Lachky, Guy Nader or the Company Linga. The show is based on a very simple concept: a gradual and continuous elevation of velocity, intensity and amplitude of an acrobatic movement sequence. An infinite snake seems to be waving in the space, faster and faster. This very demanding physical challenge gives the audience an enjoyable opportunity to see how each performer struggles and tries to expand her boundaries. Beyond being a performer, Csaba Varga is regularly invited to different companies and schools to teach and choreograph or to give workshops. He mostly creates abstract works with the intention of modifying the sensations of the audience.
