FRIDA

The Eva Duda Dance Company and the Budapest Operetta and Musical Theatre present

Dániel Dinyés – Éva Duda – György Hegyi
FRIDA
Premiere
– a show about the life of painter Frida Kahlo –

An artist whose paintings are world famous.
A passionate woman who fulfilled her destiny despite her tragic life.
An uncompromising person who never gave up and fought for staying alive.

“Have the courage to live, because anyone can die.” – Frida Kahlo

The show is a joint production of the Éva Duda Dance Company and the Budapest Operetta and Musical Theatre.
Theatre, live music, contemporary dance and video art create an impressive blend in this crossover project to evoke Frida Kahlo’s singular world and fate. It is a fascinating story of extravagance, rakishness, devastating tragedies, a life-long love and, of course, Kahlo’s perplexing paintings, unfolding in the busy streets of Mexico City, Detroit, New York and Paris in the early 20th century, a revolutionary period of technology, art and ideology.
