In 2009, the several year-long collaboration of the Central Europe Dance Theatre and Éva Duda reaches its next stage: in the frameworks of C.E.D.T.’s twentieth anniversary, the choreographer’s new performance entitled THE CARNIVAL will be shown in Merlin Theatre as a new venue.
A brand new side of The Unknown – since Zoltán Feicht recently joined Cirque du Soleil, from March 2009, two young artists will dance the duet entitled The Unknown. In Budapest Nóra Palcsó and Zoltán Katonka, members of the Central Europe Dance Theatre will debute in the performance in April (C.E.D.T). In late spring, the piece will also be shown in Szeged and at a festival in Nizhny Novgorod.
The Romanian Ion Dacian National Theatre has invited the Budapest Operetta Theatre’s popular musical Romeo and Juliet to Bucharest, where the Romanian adaptation of the piece will be shown in the spring of 2009. The Hungarian creative team has already completed casting and begun the rehearsal period with the local actors and dancers. The premiere will take place on 30 April, 2009 in Bucharest.
